Project Unit 8: Sports and Games

1. Read the passage about the game 'Blind man's bluff' (Đọc đoạn văn về trò chơi bịt mắt bắt dê)

What you need: A blindfold, an open space and 5 players or more.

Rules

1. Stand in a circle, pick one person to be the seeker.That person is blindfolded (or closes his/her eyes) and stands in the middle.
2. He/She has to try and touch the others. The other players should try to get as close as possible to the seeker without being caught.
3. When the seeker catches another player, he/she tries to guess who it is by touching that player's face and hair. If the seeker doesn't guess on the first try, other players can give hints.
4. When the seeker guesses the other's name, that person becomes the new seeker.

Luật chơi

1. Đứng thành 1 vòng tròn, chọn 1 người để làm người tìm. Người đó sẽ bị bịt mắt (Hoặc nhắm mắt) và đứng ở giữa.
2. Anh/Cô ấy sẽ phải cố chạm vào người khác. Những người chơi khác sẽ cố không bị người tìm bắt được.
3. Khi người tìm bắt được người chơi khác, anh/cô ấy sẽ cố đoán xem đó là ai bằng cách chạm vào mặt và tóc. Nếu như người tìm đoán đúng trong lần đầu tiên, những người chơi khác phải đưa ra gợi ý.

• Rules:

1. Each team in a Tug of War competition consists of eight people.
2. There are various weight classifications in Tug of War, and the mass of the eight people combined must not weigh more than that determined by the category that they are placed in.
3. The rope used should be of a circumference of approximately 11 cm and should be marked in the middle with a centre line as well as two marks that should be placed 4m from the centre line.
4. At the start of the pull, the centre line of the rope should be immediately above line marked on the ground.
5. Both teams pull the rope, the winner being the team who manage to pull the mark on the rope closest to their opponents over the centre line.
6. The rope must be pulled underarm and nobody’s elbow must go below the knee, otherwise a foul will be called.
7. Matches are often a best of three pull, the winner winning two out of the three pulls.
