Project - Unit 9: Preserving the Environment

1. Imagine the area in which your school is located has suffered from environmental pollution. Work in groups. (Tưởng tượng một khu vực trong đó trường bạn nằm ở khu vực đó đã chịu ô nhiễm môi trường. Làm theo nhóm.)

• Discuss one type of pollution and its causes and effects on the natural environment and the health of the local people. (Thảo luận một loại ô nhiễm và nguyên nhân, và tác động của nó lên môi trường tự nhiên và sức khỏe của người dân địa phương.)
• Find some pictures / photos to illustrate the pollution problem. (Tìm vài bức tranh Ihình ảnh để minh họa uấn đề ô nhiễm.)
• Write some practical advice on how to reduce this type of pollution. (Viết ra vài lời khuyên về cách giảm loại ô nhiễm này.)

Air pollution

Ha Noi City is facing the air pollution. It comes from exhaust from factory, vehicles. The air pollution influences the atmosphere and people’s respiration badly.

We should use public transportation more and plant more trees to reduce the air pollution.

Ô nhiễm không khí

Thành Phố Hà Nội đang dối mặt với ô nhiễm không khí. Nó đến từ khí thải nhà máy, xe cộ. Ô nhiễm không khí ảnh hưởng xấu đến bầu không khí và sự hô hấp của con người.

Chúng ta nên sử dụng phương tiện giao thông công cộng nhiều hơn và trồng nhiều cây hơn để giảm ô nhiễm không khí.

2. Prepare and give a presentation to your class. (Chuẩn bị và thuyết trình trước lớp)

Giải:

Hi everyone, I am …. And today I am going to present you the air pollution in Ha Noi. Ha Noi is now facing a severe air pollution due to gases from personal vehicles and from industrial factories. People here are now suffering from dead diseases like lung cancer and problem of respiration. The trees which are being cut down for building highway have also contributed to the issue.

So what we can do to reduce it? We had better use public transportation as usually as possible. In addition, trees should be planted around the city and the government should also limit the number of vehicle moving inside the city.
